I have to upload some large ebooks and I'm trying the workaround suggested in this forum of uploading a small file and using ftp to replace it with the full size file.

Problem is I can't find where these reside. What directory are they in, or are they stored in the database? I have looked through the files on my web hosting account and can't find them.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Just so everyone knoes, it uses wp-content/uploads/ to store the ebook store folder.
