Hi, a few weeks ago I post this topic :

When I use the encrypt option for pdf files everything works fine, but when I activate the printing ON option (and keep the encrypt files) the download file for the client is then NOT encrypted.

Is there a way to encrypt files (required password for opening) and allow printing (with also the same password)?? Because when I use encrypt ON and printing ON, the file is not encrypted and not protected. I'm using version 3.1.4 on joomla

Thanks for your answer.

Did you have time to check this issue, and find a solution or solve it ??

Thanks for your answer.

Hi Christian,

Excuse my delayed response I was unavailable for a while and wasn't able to promptly reply on forum posts.

No one reported such issue, thanks for sharing it with me.

I will have a look and come up with solution within 24 hours, btw have you tried upgrading?

Thanks!

HI, Ok I did upgrade again to the current version.

The issue is the same, if printng is allowed it overides the encrypt protection and then there is no asking for password.

What I would like is that it requires password for opening and for printing, but if printing is allowed, then there is no password at all. I have test it with paid download and with free account download and it is the same.

I see with all the great updates that you have work hard in the lasts few weeks. So I would wait, but if you find a solution this will solve a big problem for me.

Thanks

Hi there,

Yes, I will work on it later today and if it's not a glitch in the pdf framework - I will make sure it's fixed asap!

Thanks for reporting!
