Even with verification unselected, the purchase goes through, the buyer is charged by Paypal, but the thank you page never appears. Every 5 seconds the page renews saying it's waiting for Paypal verification.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

I have a similar problem.

if I use the PayPal sandbox for testing everything goes fine until I am sent back to my web page when this message appears:

<strong>Sorry, PayPal has not confirmed your payment yet, please wait the screen will refresh in 5 seconds!
</strong>
The screen refreshes every 5 secs as promised but nothing else happens
i.e. NO DOWNLOAD but funds taken!!

Disabling verification does not change anything.

Try again now. Just uploaded 4.0 there.

It doesn't matter where you get it though. You can simply update trough wordpress now and fill in your paypal buyer email as license key in the settings, that would unlock pro functionality.

I just updated through Wordpress. I can't enter the email, because it's in the section that's restricted (highlighted in pink), and it won't allow me to enter it there.
