The 4.3 update showed up today. When I updated, it indicated that the update was successful, but when I refresh the screen Wordpress says there's an update available and indicates that I'm running version 4.2.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Applied the update, the whole site crashed. I had to ftp and remove the folder to access wp control panel !?!?! :angry:
